The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin (***) is looking for a Full Time RVT or experienced technician to join our Cardiology Department, Monday-Thursday, 8AM-6:30PM.

$2500 SIGN ON BONUS

Veterinary Technicians at PESCM are responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice. In addition to veterinary technician skills such as patient restraint, administering medications, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy, technicians in the Cardiology department will be responsible for the following:
Assisting with echocardiograms
Performing specialized diagnostic procedures
Assisting in the application of holter monitoring equipment
Measuring blood pressure using Doppler
Documenting history and updates in medical records
Providing quality, compassionate care for your patients
Assisting in anesthetic and sedated procedures
Maintaining accurate treatment sheets & providing compassionate care for hospitalized patients
Taking radiographs and obtaining and preparing various blood samples for diagnostic testing
Providing client education on a wide range of at home care

About You:
RVT preferred but 2 years' experience minimum necessary
Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring
Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens
Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Understanding of normal vs abnormal physiologic ranges
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected.

Salary: $28.00 - $33.00 / hour, dependent on experience

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00am - 6:30pm
