Senior Electrical Engineer

An innovative and forward-thinking engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. The position is based in California (Los Angeles & San Franisco, and San Diego)

Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design and execution of electrical systems for large-scale, complex projects. This role involves technical leadership, client collaboration, and the mentorship of junior engineers. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in healthcare project design and a passion for innovation and excellence in engineering.

Responsibilities

Represent the firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
Develop and oversee electrical system designs for a variety of building types, with a focus on healthcare facilities.
Prepare feasibility studies, due diligence reports, and technical analyses.
Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, and telecom systems.
Establish design standards, project budgets, and schedules.
Oversee project deliverables, including detailed drawings, reports, and specifications.
Manage project contracts, including proposals and service agreements.
Participate in QA/QC processes to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
Engage in business development activities, such as preparing presentations and attending industry events.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure is required.
8+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably within a consulting firm.
At least 3 years of supervisory or project management experience.
Strong expertise in healthcare project design and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
LEED AP accreditation is highly preferred.
Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
