Senior Business Manager- Translational Medicine

The Business Manager will partner with various leadership teams within the gRED Translational Medicine organization and serves as a strategic thought partner to help drive functional short-term and long-term business planning, strategy development and execution. This role reports into the Chief of Staff.
The Opportunity:
As a valuable member on the Translational Medicine team you will be:
Partnering with functional leaders (D/VP level) to independently drive results/outcomes and facilitate strategic decision making.
Managing and facilitating leadership/project team meetings, including external partner meetings.
Leading in meeting agenda preparation, organization of meetings, and generation of minutes.
Serving as a thought partner for goal setting and partnering with teams to drive functional short-to-long-term business planning, strategy development, and execution.
Supporting business planning, such as budget review, resource forecasting, goals review, etc.
Supporting staff focused functional activities such as offsite planning and recognition events.
Embracing an enterprise mindset and articulating functional activities to the broader organizational context.
Maintaining a strong focus on people development and engagement, facilitating planning and execution of activities that enhance staff development and engagement.
Anticipating needs of leadership team and prompting actions and conversations that enhance team success.
Balancing needs of function and overall organization.
Problem solving by leveraging understanding of business and functional relationships to activate the right people and solutions.
Connecting individuals and teams within function, across functions, and across organizations.
Advising on functional priorities within the context of enabling larger organizational success.
Advising on new approaches to address organizational needs and complex challenges within TM and the broader organization.
Who Are You:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
Strong project management skills and very organized.
Adept at fostering positive, transparent, and productive relationships.
Adapts quickly to rapidly changing business demands.
Takes initiative to solve a wide range of difficult problems in creative ways.
Proven ability to challenge current business standards and processes, with the ability to propose solutions.
Proficient in one or more of the following core business management areas:
Strategic planning.
Business process management and improvement.
Project management.
Team facilitation.
Communication and event planning.
Experience in managing organizational cross-functional initiatives and/or business operations programs.
Ability to develop and execute on change management and communication strategies.
Experience in clinical development preferred.
Broad organizational and business knowledge.
Persons without a formal degree who have comparable depth and breadth of training and experience and who meet job-specific criteria are eligible for consideration.
Business or project management coursework or additional supportive training desired (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, Design Thinking, Agile methodology, etc.).
Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California for Senior Business Manager is $144,000 - $267,400. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
