Join a prominent civil consulting firm based in California that seeks a skilled Survey Manager to lead surveying and mapping projects in San Diego, CA. Ideal candidates hold a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification in California and possess at least 7 years of surveying experience, including 2 years in project management. As Survey Manager, you will oversee daily operations of the Land Surveying team, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations. Collaborate closely with local teams and clients to deliver precise surveying services using advanced technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead surveying and mapping projects.
Employ advanced techniques such as LiDAR mapping, drones, GPS, and traditional survey methods.
Coordinate field surveys and daily operations.
Manage office tasks like field note reductions, traverse adjustments, and topographic map preparation.
Conduct post-processing, quality control, and generate deliverables.
Utilize GPS TPS, 3D Laser Scanning, and Photogrammetric technologies for data collection.
Cultivate relationships with leaders, stakeholders, and clients.
Assess business requirements and propose optimal surveying approaches.
Supervise the LS team across project stages.
Evaluate performance and identify training needs.
Recommend enhancements to training programs.
Contribute to the LS department's growth.
Assess equipment requirements and coordinate maintenance.
Minimum Requirements:
PLS certification (preferred) in California.
Minimum 7 years of surveying experience.
At least 2 years of project management experience.
Business development background is advantageous.
