Primary Talent Partners has a 12 month contract opening for a Senior Scientist III to join a multinational pharmaceutical company for an onsite position operating out of San Diego, CA.
Pay: $42.50/hr - $47.50/hr
Contract: 12 months, extensions likely, conversion possible
Type: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorship
Location: San Diego, CA. Local candidates only. Cannot support a relocation candidate at this time.
Summary:
As a Research Scientist, you will play an important role in our growing team, supporting research needs as well as laboratory organization. This position offers a great opportunity to be a part of the early scientific team building different therapeutic modality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, ability to work efficiently and collaboratively, a desire to learn, and be adaptable to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to lab administration and organization through ordering, managing inventory, preparation of buffers and reagents
Perform standard DNA-, and protein-based procedures such as plasmids prep, gel electrophoresis
Execute tissue culture-based experiments, including maintaining and transfecting mammalian cell lines
Support the execution of antibody production with the opportunity to learn antibody therapeutics.
Support the characterization antibodies biophysically.
Document work in a timely fashion in electronic lab notebook
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's degree acceptable. We do not need a PhD candidate at this time.
3+ years of relevant experience with DNA-, and protein-based procedures (plasmids prep, gel electrophoresis, etc.) in addition to tissue-culture experience, preferably mammalian cell lines.
