A law firm seeks a Natural Resources Attorney to join its team in addressing dynamic and impactful environmental and land use legal challenges in Sacramento, CA. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 3-7 years of experience to work on cutting-edge legal cases in water law, environmental issues, and tribal law. The firm offers a collaborative environment where your expertise can contribute to transformative legal strategies.
Duties:
Represent public and private clients in complex water, environmental, and land use legal matters.
Handle litigation and advisory work involving CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act), environmental law, and tribal law.
Collaborate with a dedicated team to develop innovative legal strategies.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support clients' positions.
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
Stay current on legal developments in environmental and land use law.
Participate in negotiations and settlements related to legal disputes.
Requirements:
3-7 years of experience in environmental, water, land use, or tribal law.
Proven experience in litigation and legal analysis.
Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory issues.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with a team.
Self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the State Bar of California.
Skills:
Expertise in water law, environmental law, and land use.
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
Strong litigation skills with the ability to navigate complex legal proceedings.
Ability to develop and implement creative legal strategies.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive client matters with discretion.
