A Business Deposit Account Processor is responsible for the fulfillment operations for new accounts originating in the digital channel. The processor should have a keen eye for detecting suspicious activity and initiative to investigate potential fraud. Further responsibilities include reviewing documents requiring additional audit, potential communication with prospective members, and verifying that funding of membership is complete, and membership is established. The Business Deposit Account Processor's multifaceted role encompasses both member-focused interactions and back-office tasks, including reaching out to members to gather required documents for account opening.

As a Business Deposit Account Processor excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations related to credit union compliance are required.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for the fulfillment operations for new accounts originating in the digital channel.
2. Engages in interactions that ensure Golden 1 members encounter a positive experience beginning from new account origination through finalization and funding.
3. Review and have extensive knowledge on verifying the business's organizational documents, including articles of incorporation, partnership agreements, or other relevant documents based on the business structure.
4. Maintain and effectively leverage a thorough knowledge of Golden 1 Credit Union business deposit policy and procedures.
5. Identify problems that create inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements within all areas of online account opening processes.
6. Audit and verify Membership applications in ECM (Enterprise Content Management).
7. Ensures confidentiality of all member and credit union information.
8. Guarantee the compliance of the Customer Identification Program (CIP) audit process.
9. Review, analyze and report member onboarding processes or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives.
10. Perform complex operational tasks.
11. Meet production deadlines daily while cognizant with quality and quantity in a fast-paced environment.
12. Must demonstrate functional knowledge of all compliance courses on an annual basis and must review and pass all regulatory tests and courses pertaining to their job functions including internal credit union policies.
13. Maintain effective communication with all Credit Union employees to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing Credit Union goals.
14. Participates and contributes to a positive teamwork environment, which encourages team commitment to corporate, division, and departmental goals.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.

1. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to discuss Golden 1 products and services with members and potential members and to resolve member concerns and conflicts.
2. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine and telephone.

1. INTERNAL: Regularly engage in verbal and written communication with various departments, including BMS department, Business Relationship Officer, Commercial Loan Reps, IT Help Desk, Financial Advisors, Member. Internal discussions primarily revolve around research topics.
2. EXTERNAL: Corresponds effectively and professionally in consultative conversations with Golden 1 business members and prospective business members via Business Online Platform.

• EDUCATION: High School or GED required.
• EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one year of experience in business document review is required, including areas such as Business Account Products.
• KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

• • Knowledge on verifying the business's organizational documents, including articles of incorporation, partnership agreements, or other relevant documents based on the business structure.

• Excellent PC skills, with the ability to learn and train in new software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to present a professional image to management, staff, and outside contacts.
• Familiarity of business products, services and compliance requirements required.
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and demands, to work independently and as a team member, and to meet deadlines and effectively adjust to changing priorities.
• Excellent analytical, organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Understand the use of the automated origination system. Operate on standard Microsoft programs and other computer operations.
• Ability to effectively communicate policy/procedures to staff to assist the manager with training.
• Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary.
