Summary

You will serve as a Planning and training Scheduler in the Afloat Training Group Pacific of COMAFLOATRAGRUPAC.

Duties

You will perform long range scheduling (two weeks to five years continuously) for the basic phase training of U. S. Navy, U. S. Coast Guard, and occasionally foreign ships.
You will be required to remain abreast of events that may require a schedule rewrite (maintenance extensions, fleet tasking, remediation, etc. ) and identifying downstream impacts to other ships scheduled for training.
You will maintain continuous close liaison with other staff members, all service providers, and command scheduling officers for Afloat Training organizations.
You will provide oversight of scheduled events and the assignment of trainers, notifying staff counterparts when approaching events are not resourced and initiating reschedule or prioritization conversations.
You will assists as needed with scheduling ATG augments by Commander, Naval Surface Force, U. S. Pacific Fleet, (COMNAVSURFPAC) scheduler for Ready for Sea Assessments and Type Commander (TYCOM) Material Inspections.
You will maintain a role as liaison with ship Training Officers, Operations Officers, Executive Officers (XO), and Commanding Officers (CO) and Immediate Superiors in Command (ISIC) including unit, squadron, group, and type commands.
You will conduct face-to-face schedule drafting and/or rewriting sessions with shipboard Operations Officers, Training Officers, and other shipboard scheduling stakeholders (CO/XO, ISIC staffs).
You will represents command at all scheduling conferences up to and including Fleet Command levels.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Using information management systems to coordinate and plan training schedules for a shipboard or fleet training program.
