The Role: Senior Legal Counsel | Orange County, CA

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Legal Counsel to join a distinguished legal team in Orange County, CA. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead on impactful legal matters, collaborate with a globally recognized firm, and contribute to precedent-setting work in complex litigation and corporate advisory services.

In this position, you will:

Strategic Legal Leadership

Provide expert counsel on high-stakes litigation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.

Develop and execute innovative legal strategies to address complex challenges and meet client objectives.

Advise executive leadership and high-profile clients on critical legal matters and business transactions.

Litigation Excellence

Manage litigation strategy for complex commercial disputes, class actions, and appellate work, particularly in sectors such as real estate, technology, and energy.

Represent clients in federal and state courts, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.

Oversee the preparation of motions, briefs, and other legal documentation with exceptional attention to detail.

Corporate and Regulatory Advisory

Lead negotiations for corporate transactions, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Provide strategic advice on regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.

Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements and contracts.

Mentorship and Team Development

Mentor and develop junior attorneys, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.

Contribute to internal training initiatives and thought leadership on emerging legal trends.

Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with sophisticated clients, delivering tailored legal solutions.

Proactively identify legal challenges and provide strategic advice to navigate them successfully.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who bring the following qualifications and attributes:

Experience and Expertise

At least 10+ years of experience in high-stakes litigation, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.

Proven success in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional legal matters.

Educational Credentials

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.

Federal judicial clerkship experience, particularly with U.S. Courts of Appeals or the U.S. Supreme Court, is highly valued.

Active bar membership in good standing, with eligibility to practice in California.

Legal Acumen: Expertise in legal research, strategy, and high-pressure problem-solving.

Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead legal teams and mentor junior attorneys.
