Job Overview A Los Angeles-based law firm is seeking an experienced employment litigation attorney to handle single-plaintiff cases in court and arbitration. The role involves defending clients, conducting legal research, managing depositions, and representing clients in hearings and trials. This opportunity offers substantial professional growth and collaboration with a dynamic team.
Duties Represent clients in single-plaintiff employment litigation in court and arbitration.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Perform internal investigations and prepare discovery.
Take and defend depositions.
Advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes.
Handle court appearances, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case management.
Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment litigation, focusing on single-plaintiff cases.
Strong writing, analytical, and research skills.
Proven ability to handle court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in client counseling is a plus.
Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications Active license to practice law in California.
Member in good standing with the California Bar.
Skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in legal research and drafting.
Client-focused approach with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
