Position description

The Department of Radiological Sciences at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is recruiting for a full-time Professor (all ranks) to join our highly-regarded Interventional Radiology Section.

Clinical responsibilities will comprise coverage of interventional radiology inpatient and outpatient services at all hospitals (4) and outpatient imaging centers (10) in a rapidly expanding academic health system, UCLA Health. There is a particular emphasis on growing the IR service at a newly acquired hospital, West Hills Hospital. This position encompasses all major modalities (CT, MR, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound), the performance of ACGME-defined image-guided procedures, and on-call/weekend coverage. The candidate will supervise and teach superb interventional radiology fellows and diagnostic radiology residents; as well as participate in IR and multidisciplinary conferences, and engage in community outreach to build clinical programs. In particular, there is an opportunity to build a strong community practice at West Hills Hospital, a community medical center that has recently been acquired by UCLA Health. Qualifications

Basic qualifications

Candidates must be eligible for California licensure and American Board of Radiology certification and have completed an interventional radiology residency or fellowship.

Preferred qualifications

The candidate must possess excellent skills in all facets of interventional radiology. In particular, the candidate should possess a strong and broad clinical skillset performing arterial and venous interventions, DVT and PE treatment,.
