The Associate HRBP works with management staff and line employees to achieve business results by taking ownership of and implementing the talent management priorities and the delivery of HR-related programs and projects. Responsibilities of this role are complex, cross-divisional, and dynamic, with a primary focus on the goal of enhancing agency performance.

DUTIESSUMMARY

The Associate HR Business Partner collaborates with cross-functional management and employees to support and implement HR programs and policies. Responsible for assisting in the resolution of employee relations matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Collaborates with and supports HRBPs on employee relations-related activities including investigations, leaves of absence, benefits, and worker's compensation
Present New Hire Orientation content and other HR-related workforce trainings
Assists in the roll out of key HR programs (e.g., performance management, employee engagement)
Establishes trusted relationships with leaders to gain insight into each department's strengths and challenges and be able to recommend relevant, integrated, and impactful solutions.
Assists with reasonable job accommodations by conducting Interactive Accommodation Process discussion meetings.
Stays current with and maintains strong understanding of labor laws and regulations to support HR compliance.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

3+ years of human resources experience.
Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field from a four-year university required.
Senior Professional in Human Resources - California (SPHR-CA) credential or HR Certification preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
Required to travel extensively to ECS Head Start sites and work on-site at least one day per week (25 - 50% of the time).
Ability to handle confidential information.
Strong employee relations skills.
Experience in the ADA interactive process.
Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities.
Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Willing to obtain the Senior Professional in Human Resources - California (SPHR-CA) credential or HR Certification preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have intermediate knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Experience working within Human Resources systems, preferably Workday

COMPENSATION:
$68,640.00 USD - $78,936.00 USD

In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is included in this posting. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law. New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary growth. CII salaries are determined based on comprehensive internal and external market analysis, as well as the skills, education, and experience relevant to each position.
