Position: RN Emergency Room

Shift Schedule: Day : 0700-1930
FULL TIME Day shift RN, ER
Three 12 hr shifts/week, 0700-1930
Every 3rd weekend, some holidays

Location: Bristol, PA

Job Type: Per Diem

Start date: - 09/10/2023 - 12/09/2023

Pay: 50$ to 60$ depending on experience

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:
Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Complexity of Work:
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment.An ER Nurse's duties and responsibilities are focused on giving timely care to their patients. In a fast-paced environment, ER Nurses have the responsibilities of:

Triage incoming patients based on level of injury or illness
Immediately stabilize incoming patients
Administer medication as instructed by physicians
Start intravenous lines, and set broken bones
Perform tracheotomies and intubations
Give patients stitches and sutures
Create and maintain incoming patient records
Work with team of emergency staff to help patients
Help transfer stable patients to other wings

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Expert knowledge of emergency medicine
Active RN license
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional multitasking and time-management skills
Ability to work closely with a team and patients
Willingness to continually learn the latest advancements in emergency medicine
Ability to place intravenous lines, set bones and perform other emergency medical tasks quickly and efficiently
Excellent interpersonal skills.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below): In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current. EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire. Non OB facilities: NRP (AHA) certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.
