Quality Control Engineer II

Position Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity at our Hollister, CA facility for a Quality Control Engineer II! The Quality Control Engineer II will work to ensure all metrology equipment provides a high level of quality that meets internal and external customer's expectation. This individual will put in place a system to measure each critical metrology equipment performance, drive continuous improvements, and then report on its status with QC Chemists, Process Engineers, management, and key customers to address any deficiencies.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Statistically review key chemistry metrologies to monitor and understand all aspects/ impacts to instrument analysis, method detection limits, and background/baseline shifts/trends.

Collaborate with lab personnel in troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects.

Establish a strong understanding of the key metrology equipment to the background shifts and trends observed in FUJIFILM's key manufacturing processes. Meet with members of the production staff to offer recommendations to manage data at the uncertainty region.

Communicate findings and monitor continuous improvement for effectiveness with other professionals including QC/QA managers and lab personnel, across Electronic Materials sites, product managers, instrument developers, system engineers and customers.

Based on their findings, drive change and continuous improvements projects.

Fully support metrology investigations in support of respective Product Teams and customer requests or investigations.

May be required to lead or direct role of others.

Perform other duties, as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

3-5 years of experience in the semiconductor field or in an analytical/statistical environment.

Experience and background in Six Sigma tools and Techniques - SPC, Nelson/Western Electric rules, statistical driven decision making.

Statistical tools - JMP

Prior experience in developing and maintaining a statistical process control program.

A background in instrument analysis is preferred - ICP/MS, GC/FID/TCD, GC/MS, LC/MS, GFAA, ICP/OES, UV-Vis, IC, HPLC, wet chemistry techniques, and liquid particle counters.

Must be well organized and self-driven.

Must be able to multitask, handling multiple projects and changing priorities.

Good communication skills (written and verbal) within different functional groups.

Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.

Must have a valid California drivers' license and clean driving record.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and push/pull up to 20 lbs.

PAY RANGE: The pay range for this role is estimated at $92,000/yr. - $102,000/yr. with actual wage based on candidate's qualifications and experience.
