Job Summary:
Responsible for Reliability/Quality Engineering activities supporting the manufacture of Teledyne FLIR Cooled and Uncooled Camera Systems.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Contributes to product development as a sustaining team member supporting Teledyne FLIR's Cooled and Uncooled Camera System level products.
Conducts product and process qualification planning, testing, and reporting for new designs and processes.
Responsible for fielded reliability metrics and reporting.
Coordinates containment and corrective action for non-conforming material.
Acts as primary Quality and Reliability Representative with suppliers and customers.
Leads regular quality status and improvement activities.
Conducts Failure/Trend Analysis and Analytical Problem Solving and recommends and implements corrective actions.
Generates quality procedures and work instructions as needed.
Travels as required to suppliers, customers and/or outside labs.
Strong cross-functional activities with Systems Engineering, Customer Service, Production, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, Customers, Suppliers, Executive Leadership.
Job Qualifications:
Collaboration & Teamwork is necessary to establish good working relationships with product teams.
Strong Communication Skills are necessary when creating proposals and communicating in writing, in such a manner, that it is easy to understand and interpret information.
Displaying strong personal Initiative and motivation is vital to achieve desired performance results with projects that support the organization.
Strong Oral Communication and Presentation Skills are essential when making oral and graphical presentations to capture the interest and involvement of the audience.
Essential Job Functions:
Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Must be able to travel up to 20%.
Must be able to communicate orally and in writing using the English language.
Education and Experience:
BS in Engineering or Technical discipline required.
Two years working as a Reliability or Process/Manufacturing Engineer, preferably in the electromechanical field.
Six-Sigma training and/or certification preferred.
Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred.
Knowledge and experience in the following is preferred:
IR or similar technology.
Quality systems ala ISO 9001:2015.
Problem solving methodology and failure analysis tools.
Statistical process control.
Measurement system analysis (Gauge R&R).
Optical and mechanical inspection skills.
Electro-mechanical shaker systems and environmental chambers.
MS Office applications (must be proficient with Excel).
Statistical and reliability software applications.
Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
Salary Range:
$89,100.00-$120,230.00

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
