A Westside real estate company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting, SEC filing, SOX, and technical accounting. To be successful in this role, the Senior Accountant should be analytical, professional, and be passionate about their career development. Does this sound like you or someone you know? What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 4-7+ years of accounting experience
• MUST have public accounting experience
• Active (or close to having) CPA
• Real estate experience would be great
What will you do in this Senior Accountant role?
• Create internal financial and SEC reporting schedules
• Create management presentations and prepare for conference calls
• Preparation of deferred income, intangible assets, leases, and asset retirement obligations
• Impairment analysis
• Monthly reconciliations and allocation entries
• Intercompany elimination and accruals
• Interest calculations on JV funds
• Calculate management fees, waterfalls, distributions, and analyze cash balances
• Prepare financial reporting packages
• Analyze GAAP and IFRS
• Financial statement preparation
• Acquisition, disposition, and purchase price accounting
