Company Overview:

Belcan, a leader in engineering services for the defense and aerospace industries, is seeking experienced Quality Inspectors. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in quality inspections, particularly those holding IPC certifications and capable of performing detailed inspections to ensure compliance with stringent quality requirements. The position involves working independently to support supplier and production operations.

Ideal Candidate:

You have extensive experience in quality and source inspection, with a focus on meeting industry standards and customer requirements. Your IPC certification, combined with your expertise in interpreting complex engineering drawings and performing precise measurements, ensures the highest level of accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

Perform in-process and final source inspections, including first article inspections (FAI), per quality requirements.
Conduct inspections according to IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards, verifying compliance with quality and workmanship requirements.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T).
Perform mechanical measurements to validate the compliance of machined, formed, and assembled components.
Respond to urgent production requirements with minimal advance notice (24-48 hours).
Utilize MS Office and customer-specific applications to document and report inspection results effectively.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
5+ years of experience in quality/source inspection.
IPC-610 and IPC-620 Certifications are critical for this role.
Proficiency in mechanical measurement tools and methodologies.
Strong ability to interpret engineering documentation and GD&T.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and NADCAP standards.
Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.
