Job Summary

The Sales Associate is a critical member of the Electronics Solutions Americas Commercial team with the objective of managing the sale of the organization's products and services to customers while delivering on financial targets.
The Sales Associate is part of a customer orientated team being a strong voice of customers and attentive to their needs while participating in Division Sales Strategy creation and deployment for growth in all strategic areas.
The Sales Associate is responsible for lead qualification, presentations/demonstrations, quotations, closing sales and on-going customer relationship management resulting in customer satisfaction.
The position requires combination of sales activities including process, planning, inside sales, direct sales as well as through the sales channel to drive strategic growth initiatives regionally and globally.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Drive sales of the Divisions total products and services through inside sales, direct sales and sales channel
Identify and qualify opportunities, manage the competitive sales process, forecast, quoting, and negotiating
Advocate for and support the Customer, while aligning to the objectives of Nordson Electronics Solutions
Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, distributors and reps
Assist in analyzing and managing sales channel for optimal focus and depth in pursuing Top Customers with the Division's Top Products
Key participant in development of an Aftermarket strategic sales plan to achieve initiative growth targets
Participate in and champion for commercial global alignment of Sales initiatives and processes
Manage activities related to maintaining existing and gaining new market share with Aftermarket and Systems products,
and meeting sales objectives
Effectively uses CRM to properly manage sales opportunities to report on initiatives, pipeline and overall sales activities
Becomes a trusted authority on the Electronics Solutions Aftermarket and Systems product portfolio and solutions
Act as lead in a team when presenting products/services to existing or prospective customers
Articulate value proposition and solutions to multiple levels within the customer organizations
Provide input for monthly sales forecasts and monthly activity and pipeline reporting
Participate in trade shows to support all Marketing activities in the territory or where required
Other duties may be assigned as required

Education and Experience Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of the Nordson Commercial Leadership Development Program
Bachelor's degree (B.
A.) in Business, Marketing or Engineering from four-year college or university
Commercial experience/exposure preferred

Ability to multi-task and effectively manage daily tasks

Must be able to travel 25-50% of the time
Experience in presenting to groups or target audiences
Ability to shift working hours to align with territory business hours
