Title: Greenhouse Maintenance Officer

Reports to: Farms Production Manager

Based at: Mucci Farms 1,2,3. Kingsville, ON.

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6-7 days a week (as required); often extended hours depending on workload and priorities, and on-call when needed.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Perform preventative maintenance on all building and mechanical and electrical equipment

Maintain various farms, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment

Troubleshooting and responding to maintenance calls at various farms

Inspect, repair and lubricate machines and equipment

Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.

Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.

Maintaining inventory of all supplies, tools, and materials.

Complete and maintain all maintenance reports and records

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be mechanically inclined.

Must have good coordination and manual dexterity

Knowledge of repairing and replacing defective parts

Mechanical abilities in order to help troubleshoot production issues.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to communicate any machinery breakdown, material concerns or shortages to maintenance, production supervisor or manager.

Physical Abilities:

Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.

Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.

Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg /30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs

Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.

Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.
