The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of strategies, systems and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

What you'll do as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager :

Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.

Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.

Plans, implements and conducts preventative safety and compliance training programs.

Responsible for the analysis, preparation, and maintenance of mandatory/regulatory related safety.

Monitors compliance with safety procedures.

Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.

Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.

Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.

Collaborate with Management team to develop and implement an Emergency Action Plan when injuries and accidents occur.

Responsible for Worker's Compensation loss control programs and reporting requirements, including OSHA logs.

Ensure that required regulatory permits are acquired, that reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and any site permit conditions (e.g. sampling, recordkeeping) are met.

Achieve annual targets for incident frequency, severity and related cost reductions.

Interface with regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, State/Local Regulators).

Act as a resource to plant management teams regarding all security related operations.

Administer plant hearing conversation program and annual audiometric testing.

Coordinate industrial hygiene, and monitoring efforts.

We're looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager with:

Bachelor's degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required.

Five years of related experience preferred.

Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues

Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead

Perform sedentary work on various computer systems

This Environmental Health and Safety Manager position is located on-site in our Dallas facility
