Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery Nurse, Obstetrics RN

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour shifts; must be flexible, includes weekends and holidays, with day and night shift coverage.

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery.

License: Active RN license in good standing.

Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS or ALSO, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced FHM required. RNC-EFM may substitute for AWHONN FHM.

Must-Have: Ability to float to other departments as needed. Charge nurse experience or training is preferred.


• Provide high-quality care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum rooms, and ensure a family-centered approach with babies rooming in with mothers.
• Manage an average of 40 deliveries per month, including approximately 6 C-sections.
• Occasionally serve as a charge nurse after completing charge nurse training.
• Float to other departments within qualifications, involving either managing a patient load or performing task-oriented duties like answering call lights and phones.
• Participate in department initiatives for a supportive team environment.
• Must be available for orientation on Mondays; compliance with deadlines is required for attendance.
