Sr Supervisor of Asset Integrity

POSITION PURPOSE

The Assets Group supports sustainable and consistent operations by ensuring the reliability of assets and adherence to quality standards. As the Senior Supervisor of Asset Integrity, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and integrity management of all critical assets within the mining operation. This role ensures that all assets, infrastructure, and systems are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards. The position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations, optimize equipment performance, and extend the lifespan of assets, thereby contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of Pinto Valley's operation. The Senior Supervisor works closely with both Maintenance and Operational leaders to assist in the development of strategic team objectives and prioritization of tasks while simultaneously supporting the team members by providing guidance and mentorship. As part of the integrity management of all critical assets and site infrastructure, the position is also responsible for leading a Facilities Maintenance team that supports the site in the repair and preservation of critical infrastructure, site access roads, overhead cranes, and HVAC systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

65% Office, 35% Field

Primarily office-based work with field time for safety, mentorship, and asset audits

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

* Exemplify the Capstone Copper Values in all efforts and interactions while working in compliance with all MSHA safety guidelines and Pinto Valley Mine policies and procedures.

* Ensure that you are certified to execute the tasks / jobs assigned.

* Structure and develop the Asset Integrity team in which is technically capable, engaged, effective, efficient, and fit for purpose.

* Plan, schedule, and oversee asset integrity activities, ensuring that all work is performed according to company standards and safety protocols.

* Provide updates on key projects or tasks to leadership

* Supervise, mentor, and train a team of technicians and inspectors, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

* Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and company policies.

* Establish progression plans for employees in support of their career development

* Conduct employee reviews

* Manage departmental budget

* Direct department initiatives and focus through use of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

* Develop, implement, and manage asset integrity programs to ensure the reliability and safety of all mining assets.

* Conduct regular inspections, assessments, and audits of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure to identify potential risks or areas for improvement.

* Coordinate and supervise non-destructive testing (NDT) and other inspection techniques to monitor asset health.

* Conduct technical report review for both Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and routine condition monitoring

* Spend appropriate amount of time in the field to ensure team members are adequately supported in terms of resources and training

* Work with maintenance teams to prioritize repairs and preventive maintenance activities based on risk assessments and operational needs.

* Develop and maintain documentation, including inspection records, maintenance schedules, and compliance reports.

* Collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders, including operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement, to align reliability objectives with overall business goals. Foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement across the organization.

* Utilize SAP and Microsoft Office software

* Responsible for but not limited to all tasks/duties assigned or required

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

* High School Diploma

Preferred:

* CMRP Certification or any other Condition-based Maintenance Certifications (Vibration, Thermography, NdT, Lubrication, etc)

YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Required:

* Minimum of 3-5 years in Supervisory Maintenance Role

* 5+ years Mining Experience

Preferred:

* 5+ years in Supervisory Maintenance Role

* 10+ years Mining Experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES (KSA):

* Operations / Maintenance experience highly regarded

* Strong understanding of asset integrity management principles, including inspection techniques, risk assessment, and maintenance strategies.

* Knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) relevant to asset integrity.

* Knowledge with Non-Destructive Testing and condition monitoring highly regarded

* Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance highly regarded

* Project Management knowledge/experience highly regarded

* CMMS knowledge/experience; SAP experience a plus

* Makes effective contributions using team concepts and working within a multi discipline Maintenance team

* Intermediate to Proficient computer skills, spreadsheets; Microsoft Office, Outlook

* Able to speak, comprehend, and write English
