Overview
Colorado Public Health Lab is looking for a candidate who is able to write R scripts for data analysis based on quality control parameters unique to EPA chemistry test methods.
Responsibilities
• Compiles testing data and performs appropriate statistical analyses in order to respond to data requests, to create and give presentations, and to participate in writing reports and/or other documents for publication or to support program activities.
• Applies appropriate software and coding, including R Studio to perform analyses, including computation of rates and frequencies, standard errors and confidence intervals, and applying higher order methods such as regression and risk adjustment.
• Gathers, organizes and conducts statistical analysis of laboratory data for both method validation and ongoing quality control.
• Determines data requirements, designs data collection tools, constructs and manages databases, conducts statistical analysis of data, performs uncertainty quantification, conducts assessments of data quality and completeness and reports results.
• Utilizes the data and information gathered to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the laboratory testing.
• Prepares written reports, presentations, and other publications by analyzing the necessary laboratory statistical data, identifying statistical trends or differences, including conclusions or recommendations based on interpretation of the results and explanations of variance in the data.
• Creates appropriate figures and tables to describe the data and interpret the statistical significance.
• Presents data to internal and external customers and stakeholders when necessary.
• Analyzes proficiency testing results in accordance with statistical methods for use in proficiency testing as defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Proficiency Testing Standards for scoring participants, establishing homoegenity, and evaluating stability.
