What you'll do as an Assistant Controller
• Prepare and review monthly analysis/reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Assist the VP of Finance with annual budget and forecast
• Assist with preparation and file 571-L Unsecured Property Tax Forms
• Maintain the Fixed Assets ledger. and assist with preparation of fixed assets reconciliation including all related transactions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
• Coordinate with internal & external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely submission of audit requirements
• Assist with AR Aging and Unbilled Aging Reports
• Prepare and reconcile the Wip
• Prepare period-end journal entries as required
What you'll need
• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics - CPA or MBA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive Accounting experience
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls
• Strong Analytical, Accounting and finance skills
• Construction industry experience
• Knowledge of Job Costing
• Strong Written & Oral Communication skills
Additional qualifications
• Advance Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel and related MS Office products
• Organized, detail oriented and able to work independently
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle crisis situations effectively
• Team player, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to interact with a variety of people and work with all levels within the organization in a professional manner
Salary Range $110,000 - $120,000 / year
