Oracle Senior Software Developer - Little Rock, Arkansas Job Summary:
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging, or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in your area of expertise. May have project lead role and/or supervise lower-level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
Responsibilities:
Working on a technically challenging product meeting real customer needs.
Collaborating with friendly peers around the world where you can learn, grow, and have a disproportionate impact!
Engineering for scale, reliability, maintainability, and security.
Evaluating technology needs, suggesting changes, running trials, and communicating about results.
Key Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams, and presentations).
Proficiency in Java and Linux.
Bonus Points:
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Knowledge of service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.
Experience with distributed systems and fault-tolerant services.
Experience with best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise.
Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming, distributed/concurrent/multicore computing, and cloud architectures.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
