The Compliance Engineer III, develops and maintains Rheem's proprietary product modeling software used for new product and technology development.

This position will serve our Air Division, located in Fort Smith, AR or Lewisville, TX.

Responsibilities

Accurately acquire and interpret test data and results and make any computations required to complete test data within the scope of the requirements of the applicable test standard.
Collaboration with engineering and research teams with the development of engineering tools such as heat transfer simulation programs used for product design and regulatory rating metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal customers to gather requirements and provide updates/reports for assigned projects.
Develop project plans using formal Gantt charts, track/maintain project schedules to ensure on-time completions.
Acquire in-depth knowledge of Rheem's competitive products, and keep abreast of industry activities and product and technology trends.
Must be hands on and have experience working in a laboratory environment.
Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.
Help design engineers and product managers understand applicable domestic and international safety and regulatory standards related to their products.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering.
5+ years' experience in compliance engineering.
Understanding of product safety and regulatory standards
Experience working with international and domestic safety and regulatory standards. (UL, IEC, DOE, SASO, etc.)
Must be hands on and have experience in working in a lab in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability in working in product development teams.
Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis including statistical and uncertainty analysis.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Project management skills.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
