Alto Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Specialty: MS/Tele, 36 or 48 hours accepted for this position
Med Surg & MS/Tele Ratios: 1:5/6 with occasional 1:7. This is a fast pace/high case load facility - please ensure candidates are cleared on the job requirements prior to submitting
Experience Required: 2 years
First time travelers are accepted
Every other weekend required
Floating Required: Must be willing to float within specialty and between campuses (4.5 miles away)
Certifications required: BCLS
Skills Required: Cardiac Monitoring, Colostomy Care, Feeding Tube Care and Management, Renal Failure, IV Therapy/Phlebotomy, Heparin/Insulin/PCA Experience, CVA, Respiratory/Thoracic Experience and Wound Care
Skills Preferred: Management of Dysrhythmias, Post Angiogram and Post MI
Must pass cardiac exam during orientation
EMR experience required though Meditech Expanse training is covered during orientation

7N cares for a diverse Med/Surg population. The unit is primarily cared for by Hospitalists who have physician or NP coverage 24/7.
