JOB SUMMARY:
As an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Level, you will deliver essential pre-hospital basic life support care to patients experiencing illness or injury. Your critical role involves providing quick and effective transport to medical facilities, adhering to local, state, national, and Acadian Ambulance standards of practice.
EQUIPMENT:
You will work with various life support and medical equipment including ambulances, stretchers, spinal immobilization equipment, and basic airway management tools. Additionally, you will handle communication equipment, bandaging materials, and other medical supplies as they become necessary.

This job requires physical stamina and the ability to lift patients and equipment. You will need to navigate various environments, including outdoor settings and challenging terrains.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
EMTs may encounter a variety of conditions, including hazardous environments, outdoor weather situations, and emergencies involving heavy equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism are essential.
INTERPERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
