Amex GBT Egencia is changing the way corporations manage their travel programs and is seeking a Professional Services expert to drive our leadership in corporate travel within our Global Account clients. The Global Account Manager (GAM) will be working with new and existing corporate accounts with footprints in North America (NA) European markets (EMEA), Asia Pacific (APAC) and Latin America markets (minimum of 2 markets required). The GAM will develop multi-dimensional relationships with our Global Customers and provide customized solutions for their Worldwide travel needs.
This position requires proven skills in Contract Negotiations, Sales, and Account Management, with the ability to understand complex systems and processes, while explaining their attributes clearly and fluently to our clients. This position requires outstanding communication skills and a strong understanding of how market trends may potentially affect business needs and travel solutions. The GAM must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the US, European, Asia Pacific and Latin America travel markets. Have a thorough understanding of our product and service offerings. This position will represent Amex GBT Egencia through oral, written, and formal presentations to existing and potential clients at all levels.
Must be a collaborator, biased to action, have high energy, integrity, optimism and can function effectively in an un-structured environment.
What You'll Do:
Own a portfolio of global accounts operating in multiple POS, with a view to strategize the growth for our global clients as part of the wider Amex GBT Egencia offering.
Deliver a Strategic Account Plan for each account within the portfolio.
Build a strong rapport as a trusted advisor to our Global Clients, developing long term relationships throughout the customer lifecycle
Act as the client's lead Global Account Manager: in this capacity, the global account manager will collaborate with local AMs in each POS to aggregate and deliver data from all POS to client, while cascading instructions to secondary markets to execute and managing local operational issues
Lead projects as required with the ability to guide cross-functional teams to achieve established goals and deliverables.
Identify and support global process and offerings in other Egencia markets to drive travel program standardization and manage client's expectations of service
Deliver regular Business Reviews to clients while also collecting and aggregating data from other POS when necessary. Provide analysis and deliver recommendations to drive a strong program adoption and deliver savings whilst delivering against the customer's measures of success.
Interact and build a strong, positive rapport with the Account Management team(s) globally, also developing long term relationships throughout the customer lifecycle.
Lead projects and initiatives as required, with ability to guide cross-functional teams to achieve established goals and deliverables as needed.
Become a functional expert in Change Management
Represent Egencia in a professional manner; maintain composure in times of stress; ensure the highest levels of service and professionalism.
What We're Looking For:
Experience building client relationships in a commercial B2B account / portfolio management environment, managing a portfolio of global clients operating across regions.
You have preferably come from a travel, technology, or SaaS background.
Strong working knowledge of the Americas including Latin America, EMEA & APAC regions, culture, and business protocol
Ability to build relationships through mutual trust, respect and understanding, and to manage relationships across multiple groups with remarkably diverse backgrounds.
Self-motivated with demonstrated strengths managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment, and driving completion with limited direction.
Exceptional negotiating and facilitation skills.
The ability to recognize and respond appropriately to different situations through the use of advanced communication strategies
Ability to account manage and upsell additional product and services
Proven history of obtaining/surpassing targets on a consistent basis
Ability to work effectively in matrix environment and deliver results
Tech-savvy with ability to communicate technical product features effectively and enthusiastically
Effectively work independently in a virtual environment
Considering candidates throughout the US as this is a virtual role. Travel will be required.

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $50,000 to $100,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that Egencia expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual Performance Based Incentive, which rewards participants based on company performance, one of our metric-driven Sales Incentive Plans (certain direct sales roles only), or one of our Client Management Incentive Award (CMIA) programs. An eligible employee can only participate in one of these plans during an eligible period.
