We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on our fleet of vehicles to ensure their safety and optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty parts and components
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• Communicate with other personnel to coordinate repair efforts and ensure timely completion of work
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or diploma in diesel mechanics preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic preferred
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
