License: Current State Pharmacist License
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Must-Have:
• Five years of current pharmacist experience
• Supervisory/management experience preferred
• Direct and supervise the administrative and clinical operations of pharmacy services.
• Interpret and implement program or objectives set by senior leaders with substantial authority and independence in decisions related to resource allocation, staff oversight, budget development, department policy and procedures, and administrative and financial success.
• Oversee pharmacy services across the hospital, exercising supervision over professional, licensed staff.
• Develop and mentor staff, encouraging professional development through education, certification, and job advancement, while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
• Engage in the pharmacy orientation process for new hires and participate actively in patient care decisions.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the 340B drug pricing program and collaborate on its growth.
• Communicate the mission, vision, values, code of conduct, and goals of the facility.
• Prepare and manage the pharmacy budget and identify opportunities for revenue expansion or cost containment.
• Develop business plans for new ventures and implement programs responsibly.
• Hold staff huddles to communicate changes, clarify issues, and respond to performance improvement opportunities.
• Perform or oversee staffing, scheduling, and payroll review; terminate employees according to protocol.
• Recognize and reward positive staff behaviors and performance creatively.
• Serve on clinical leadership and management teams and participate in professional/community organizations.
