Warehouse Shift Lead

Starting Pay:
$23.00JOB SUMMARYIn collaboration with the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Lead determines daily workload, sets priorities and directs team with meeting daily objectives while providing superior service to Company's Distribution Centers, Customers and Suppliers while maintaining apositive and proactive relationship with management and employees.RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate with Supervisors to determine the daily, weekly, and monthly workload.
Direct team of employees and provide leadership and assistance with the daily operations to meet all daily objectives.
Assist employees with exceptions and problem resolution.
Performwarehouse duties including but not limited to:
Unloading and loading of shipmentsPut away and replenishmentReceiving a selection of productsItem demand/count checksCommunicate any issues or suggestions to SupervisorTrain and assess new employees and re-train as necessaryEnsure all employees are performing duties accurately and efficientlyAssist management with safety initiativesAssist management with other duties as neededQUALIFICATIONSEducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredExperience2-5 years' warehouse experience, including strong knowledge of Import/Export receiving and shipping and inventory control processes, procedures and practicesMust be familiar with related OSHA regulationsSkills & AbilitiesExcellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiencyAbility to effectively write and present information/reports and respond to questions from suppliers, customers, management and inter-department staffCapable of working with internal staff from other departments in a proactive and constructive mannerStrong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and develop individuals and teamsAble to engage and lead team discussions and meetingsUnderstands team dynamics and works well within a team structureCollaborative management style and a strategic team playerDelegates responsibilities effectivelyAble to understand team dynamics and work well within a team structureCapable of working with associates from other departments and shifts in a proactive and constructive mannerAbility to add, subtract, multiply & divides into all units of measureCompute rate, ratio, and percentAble to use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to understand and execute all relevant policies and procedures in a consistent, timely and objective mannerAbility to read, follow and execute all safety guidelines in the warehouseCustomer Service - Respond promptly to requests for service and assistance as needed.
