A Travel Nurse RN specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care is needed for COVID-19 response in Alaska with a pay rate of $2,496 per week. The position requires a valid Alaska State License, certification in BLS and PALS, and at least two years of experience, with flexibility for block scheduling. Nurses will work in a high-acuity environment, providing care to critically ill pediatric patients, with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity to the Native Population.

AK license is required. However, can accept traveler with MSL at point of signing. Traveler must apply for AK license ASAP after signing.

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, NICU and Peds
Open to accommodating block schedule? Yes, unit does block
Guaranteed Hours: Yes, up to 36 hours. All OR nurses and OR Techs on 12-hour shifts are scheduled for an additional 4 hours to help cover breaks and lunches. 12 hour OR nurses and OR Techs will be guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Special Requirements: Must be culturally sensitive to Native Population
Job Requirements
Alaska State License Required. Needs to apply ASAP if needed. Can use out of state compact license with facility approval and proof of AK application.
Travelers may checking nurses off who need to be PICU trained. They would have PICU assignments but with an orientee.
Schedule Information
Unit Specific Information
Pediatric floor ratios are 1:4. PICU 1:2. Ventilated patients are usually 1:1 due to the geography of the unit and the difficulty of doubling up ventilated patients.

RTO Restrictions: We are not accepting any changes to contracts once signed. This INCLUDES: Additional RTO, Start Dates, Shifts, Bill Rates etc. Please ensure ALL details of the contract are agreed upon PRIOR to signing.
