Position Description
Seeking an enthusiastic and driven Supply Chain Intern to join our Supply Chain team in Pine Brook, NJ. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for learning and a keen interest in the supply chain field. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a strong sense of initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
The Supply Chain Intern will work closely with the Supply Chain team including planning, purchasing and warehouse operations. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience in the various areas of the supply chain field.
Responsibilities:
• Perform data analysis, data processing as well as other clerical and routine duties
• Perform market research, price analyses and related tasks
• Solicit pricing, quotes and proposals and perform related analysis
• Perform troubleshooting, research transactions and resolve both internal and external inquiries
• Maintains records and files, to include electronic databases
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Monitor and track supplier performance and compliance
• May assist in the development of supplier evaluation criteria
• Prepare and analyze data for procurement reports
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Research industry trends and developments related to procurement/sourcing
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Performs other related duties/projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Candidate is Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or Business
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of basic planning, procurement and warehouse concepts
• Knowledge or familiar with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
