OBXtek is staffing for an
Acquisition Specialist, Sr. - Acquisition Reporting (SSC/CGU - GPS User Equipment)
for the United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Acquisition Support Services contract to support Military Communication (MilComm) & Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) Directorate. This contract
provides the MilComm & PNT Directorate with a broad range of acquisition capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, operations and maintenance, and lifecycle acquisition activities.
Position is contingent upon contract award.
This position interacts with Directorate leadership. The individual will provide support to Space Force customers in El Segundo, CA. Key duties associated with this position include:
Daft program overviews and executive summaries, encapsulate major program issues, gather program contract information, and track program milestones and status
Generate overviews of program health and ability to execute, assess program cost, schedule, and technical risks by segment and identify mitigation plans, consolidate and status program manager identified cost, schedule, and technical efficiency initiatives
Demonstrate understanding of the program's current critical path, integrate and correlate program performance data with the program baseline, accurately interpret acquisition program baseline thresholds and compliance, verify program costs against the approved President's Budget
Track program baseline changes, accurately capture high level program logistic, test and evaluation, and requirements readiness characteristics, and establish a program office point of contacts list to accurately develop, maintain, andupdate acquisition reports to include, but not limited to Weekly Activity Report, Monthly Acquisition Reports, Selected Acquisition Report, Defense Acquisition Executive Summary, Acquisition Program Baseline, supplemental reports for Acquisition Category I, II, III, Middle Tier Acquisition (MTA) programs at the Directorate, and other related acquisition reporting documents.
Verify accuracy of the various Government approved systems used to generate acquisition reports and ensure consistency of all data reported to leadership.
Report any discrepancies to the Government.
Submit all draft inputs to the appropriate program office prior to submission to the Director and release to Air Force and Space Force leadership.
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Salary Range : $135,000 - $220,000k/year
Qualifications
US Citizen and possession of a current Secret Clearance
Required Qualifications:
Masters Degree (MA/MS) in a related field, such as Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Statistics.
10 or more years of extensive, relevant experience working on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program performing all functional duties independently and overseeing personnel in the same career field.
Excels in advising, improvising, optimizing, and making thorough recommendations to Government Senior Leaders
Expertise using MS Office applications and DoD, Air Force, and/or Space Force tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in business desired (Master's Degree in an unrelated field requires an additional 2 years of relevant experience or relevant Professional Certification)
APDP Level III or equivalent is desired.
