Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor for Grants will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our grants, pre- and post-awards. The Accounting Supervisor for Grants adheres to operational guidelines, maintains a professional code of ethics, and complies with HIPAA guidelines and regulations. This position will be located in our Springfield, Missouri location or fully Remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide recommendations to Finance leadership for process improvements.
Collaborate during pre-award phase on financial aspects of grants such as budgets
Lead all financial aspects of post award activity and compliance
Provide training and support to team members
Identify strategies to optimize grant administration processes
Responsible for financial aspects of grants during external audits
Collaborate with operations during grant implementation and throughout lifecycle of grant
Assess, manage, and mitigate risks
Present and report to stakeholders; provide recommendations to Finance and Operational leadership
Lead other major financial related projects in areas such as capital, procurement or reporting.
Experience and/or Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
Minimum of 10 year's experience in Finance Management preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with Grant experience preferred.
Experience with Grant administration required.
Supervisory Requirements:

Provide leadership and guidance to all aspects of the department.
Take an active role in monitoring the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives.
Involve, as appropriate, all employees in order to achieve goals.
Effectively communicate to employees any changes and news worthy events within the department or company.
Handle difficult employee situations directly, using appropriate discretion and Human Resource advice to show respect for the individual.
Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.
Reinforces team approach throughout functions; support and solicit input from team members at all levels with the company.
Maintains confidentiality of business information, including Protected Health Information (PHI), as required by HIPAA and company policy.
