• - UNDP's presence in the Bangkok Regional Hub (BRH) delivers a full range of policy, programme, and operations support to 24 Country Offices (COs) in the Asia-Pacific region. The Country Office Support and Quality Assurance (COSQA) in the Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific provides strategic management oversight and advisory support through the Management Advisory Services Team (MAST).
• Position Purpose
• The Operations Analyst ensures consistent service delivery to the UNDP CO programmes and projects as well as regional programme and projects. The Operations Analyst supports the Asia-Pacific COs and BRH to maximize office performance and adaptability, demonstrating capacity for innovation, creativity, and pragmatism in dealing with the staff at all levels.

S/he works closely with the programme, operations, and project teams in the COs and the Regional Hub; staff in HQ Units of the Regional Bureau, Bureau for Management Services (BMS), and the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC), as well as other UN agencies, to successfully deliver management and operations services.
• Duties and Responsibilities
• Supports implementation of corporate and regional strategies
• - In consultation with the UN Development Cooperation Office, Client Service Support team and the UNDP Bureau of Management Services, providing support for the roll-out and/or expansion of the Business Operations Strategy to strengthen One-UN Operations at the country level, including Common Back Office and other initiatives.
• Coordinate the implementation and roll-out of Bureau priority actions as determined by senior management e.g., Greening the Blue, Greening Moonshot initiative.
• Serve as regional focal point for travel related support and guidance to the COs, on policy and process, systems and working with the procurement teams on developing LTAs and rosters (Regional or CO).
• Develop tailored, cross functional technical and/or process solutions, which fulfil organizational principles and controls while addressing specific client requirements.
• Ensures contribution to the Regional Business Operations Strategy (R-BOS) and Regional Collaboration Platform workplans and joint activities, as required.
• Leads organization of RBAP OMs meetings and discussions, escalates to responsible units, ensures follow-up on decisions made and facilitates provision of analysis on issues and solutions across the region.
• Providing guidance to COs on Business Continuity Planning, including annual updating and testing of Plans; monitoring of CO compliance rate and follow up.
• Supports project management, procurement and human resource risk monitoring and compliance mechanisms such as pre-Project Appraisal Committee reviews, and Regional Advisory Committee on Procurement (RACP) through technical inputs and/or coordination, as needed.
• Enhances office optimization, realignment, and business efficiency processes
• - Act as primary Bureau focal point for support and guidance to COs on Premises/Lease Management, Travel, Cost-Recovery, UPL/LPL
• Develop and/or adapt Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational functions in business units.
• Closely work with HQ units and Country Offices on business processes optimization within Quantum implementation and co-develop guidance notes, as applicable.
• Analyse and synthesize issues and solutions across multidisciplinary service provision areas as relevant to CO business operations.
• Ensures remote management and support to country office operations
• - Provide on-demand support to Country Offices, both remote and in-country, to accelerate programme implementation; trouble shooting. situations.
• Ensure business continuity of country offices in high-risk country offices by assuming critical roles when the Regional Bureau assumes remote management.
• Serve as 'go-to' resource for COs on delivery of services to other Agencies, SLAs and cost-recovery mechanisms, liaise with HQ units as required.
• As part of the Bureau team, conduct periodic quality assurance of CO operations and risk management, remotely and on site, and making recommendations on improvement to CO management team.
