• JOB TITLE: Construction Piping Supervisor
• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• :
• Monitoring daily construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures and with the project objectives for safety, quality, productivity and schedule.
• Implement construction work processes, project procedures and instructions within assigned operations.
• Prepare reports relating to construction progress, job manpower forecasts etc.
• Alert Construction Manager or Construction Superintendent whenever any aspect of the work does not comply with the contract requirements or is being performed outside of the contract scope.
• Attend subcontract/cost awareness sessions and understand the Responsibility matrices, BOQ & preambles of subcontract.
• Provide solutions to subcontractor's problems in order to achieve the successful execution of the project. Verify that the material handed over to the Subcontractor is controlled, preserved and issued for the intended purpose.
• Closely monitor additional work of Site Instruction until work is completed and to inform Subcontracts team for closure of Site Instruction.
• Supervise lifting teams in the lifting of rotary machinery and coordinate with subcontractor and inspection of validity of lifting equipment, conduct preliminary checks to ensure ground conditions are good for installation.
• ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Good knowledge on rotating equipment installation/maintenance; of Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Reciprocating Compressors, Steam Turbines, and their auxiliaries (lube oil system, fuel gas system, seal gas system, steam system etc).
• Good understanding of material packing list and identifing the material required for the installation.
• The Ability to understand and implement mechanical drawings (section DWG; construction DWG; P&ID; Levelling and alignment specification, Soft-foot specification, flushing/blowing procedure; piping specification; spring supports hot-alignment methods).
• 6+ years of experience in Mechanical and Piping site experience in construction with oil & gas EPC company and with subcontractors.
