Plant Controller

*OVERVIEW*:
The Plant Controller is a key leader on the plant leadership team, contributes to all areas of plant management and provide strong financial leadership.
• THE ROLE*:
The Plant Controller will directly report to ASEAN Finance Director with dotted line to Plant Manager. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and guidelines. The incumbent will provide financial direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve site performance.
• YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES*:
• Lead, manage and develop costing team, accounts payable and fixed assets team, take primary role in staff development and performance management of team;
• Responsible for designing, preparing and presenting the operational performance monthly, quarterly and annually reports;
• Responsible for the monthly closing report for manufacturing and to ensure the information is integrated, accurate, reliable and complies with local and US GAAP accounting principles;
• Responsible for Annual Cost Budget and Rolling Forecasts;
• Provide analytical advice, reports and coordinating the functional department managers to support performance delivery and project attainment;
• Oversight and validate Inventory Valuation for all types of inventories; Raw material, Finished Goods and WIP at all locations across company;
• Oversight and review New Product Costing set up;
• Review and own Annual Standard Cost Workings for all existing products based on approved budget and latest time standards;
• Ensure the proper Maintenance of Standard Cost in ERP System at start of year and the maintenance throughout year;
• Prepare Annual Costing Budget, Flex budget and Monthly forecasting packages;
• Estimate product costs to support quoting activities;
• Own Cost Accounting related to Statutory/Cost Audit/ and Transfer pricing;
• Prepare Operations monthly variance analysis and understand the causes along with remediating actions;
• Own and Drive Cost saving Projects; identify projects with operations team for cost reduction/efficiency improvements, validation of saving potential, and tracking of project execution and timelines;
• Owns Material variance, Purchase Price Variance and Gross Margin analysis;
• Physical verification and ensuring correct stocks in system;
• Review ROI of New Capital Expenditure Proposals;
• Ensure internal controls are set up at plant and in line with corporate standards and SOX requirements;
• Review and execute full business cycles control activities to ensure adequate control environment to support management SOX certification;
• Work with internal and external auditors to address reporting and internal control issues at plant;
• Other duties as assigned

Accountability #1: Reporting and Analysis
• Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for site within timeline
• Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management
• Prepare monthly forecasting packages for manufacturing
• Ensure the proper Maintenance of Standard Cost in ERP System (BPCS / SAP) at start of year align with corporate guideline, also the maintenance throughout year

Accountability #2: Process / Performance
• Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks to support management SOX certification
• Ensures proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements
