Lead Performance Engineer - Capital Markets FX

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Performance Engineer is a member of an Agile Team responsible for non-functional (Performance) testing of software developed in Bangkok for our Capital Markets FX RFQ Product (FXall) The Lead will be required to maintain and enhance the Performance test framework in order to provide a capability to test Non-Functional requirements. The Lead QA Engineer is an Individual Contributor who is expected to provide the testing capability through their technical expertise.

Role requirements:
• Study non-functional requirement specifications and raise clarifications to business analysts and customers.
• Build, maintain and update Performance scenarios based on the requirement specifications.
• Reporting of Performance test results to technical stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues in Performance test scripts.
• Work closely with Development teams in analysis of Performance results.
• Communicate risks to quality and testing schedules to Quality Manager.
• Reporting complex issues with clarity and at an appropriate level for Senior Stakeholders.
• Provide daily, weekly status updates to managers.
• Act as a technical lead on Performance test execution and strategy.
• Create and build Performance test plans, estimates and improvements to test process.
• Research into new QA tools methodologies and suggest improvements to the team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience of working within the Financial Sector.
• A demonstrable knowledge of Capital Markets FX RFQ trading lifecycle.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Performance Lead in an Agile team.
• Experience in creating Performance test plans and reporting to technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Peak, Load and Soak test types.
• Experience of defining and maintaining Performance environments.
• Scripting performance tests based on requirements.
• SQL knowledge required to intermediate level.
• Strong knowledge of Linux.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of standard software QA processes and methodologies.
• Ability to grasp technical and domain knowledge quickly is critical.
• High attention to details and strong communication skills with ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to train and mentor other QA team members.
• Proficient in using Jira/Confluence.

Nice to have
• Experience in working with JMeter or another similar tool.
• Knowledge of source version control systems: Git.
• Prior experience of Performance testing in Capital Markets domain in particular FX is desirable.
• Knowledge of FX trade lifecycle is a huge plus!
