KCP Regional Category Manager, Skincare

• Main Purpose of the Role*:
Translates the global skincare strategy into actionable and impactful category plans within the assigned region to deliver sustainable business results. Leads the assigned regional Skincare category portfolio including asset utilization, product lifecycle management, price/performance/competitive mapping and local renovation/LCM/BFS project management through Innovation Management Framework (IMF) to deliver growth in Net Sales, GPROS, OP & market share. Develops competitive insights that align to KC Professionals strategic business plans and drives profitable growth.

• Works independently based on strategic direction and requires limited direction to complete assignments

• Role Accountabilities*:
• Category Management & Optimization*
• Develops a long-term vision for the product & portfolio strategy for the category within assigned region
• Partners with Cluster Marketing to manage the skincare P&L, including taking appropriate action to address any gaps or issues
• Partners with Cluster Marketing to design & deliver a competitive product portfolio based on the Brand Foundation Tools for assigned product category to improve performance and/or profit
• Partners with Cluster Marketing to optimize the product portfolio by actively managing new SKU creation & obsolete / slow moving SKUs, define Pricing Strategy & maintain Price / Performance Mapping against key competitors for products within assigned product category
• Partners with R&D to develop and manage product competitiveness scorecards in conjunction to ensure consistent delivery of product PODs & POPs
• Partners with Regional Marketing & Global R&D to track product competitiveness scorecards to ensure consistent delivery of product PODs & POPs
• Partners with other Regional Category Managers to leverage skincare as part of the broader bundle and align activities and strategies.
• Analyzes regional category P&L (NSV, GP, market share)
• Innovation / Renovation / Claims*
• Understands Innovation needs from the local markets and ensures Innovation sufficiency for the assigned category
• Partners with Central R&D to develop Renovation / Life Cycle Management plan to ensure product superiority / competitiveness
• Partners with Mills, Product Supply and R&D to develop and lead multi-cluster BFS / Value Stream projects to deliver cost continuous improvement
• Executes product development projects by leading multifunctional teams through the IMF process
• Product Supply*
• Partners with Global Product Supply to manage external manufacturing vendors for assigned category including managing Cluster Team expectations & responding to product supply needs
• Partners with Cluster Marketing to ensure product forecasts are accurate and appropriate inventory levels are maintained
• Standard Work*
• Manages product data & maintain accuracy in the PIM system for regional products within assigned product category & leads creation of new codes in SAP system for cross cluster SKUs
• Regularly monitors competitor activity & works with Cluster teams to build response plans
• Partners with Regulatory & Quality teams to ensure products are of a high quality and regulatory issues / customer complaints are promptly & proactively addressed
• Manages product specifications & datasheets
• Applies Brand Identity Guidelines across the portfolio for assigned product category
• Ensures all marketing content is uploaded & maintained in the Digital Asset Management System
• Monitors performance of marketing programs (ROI) and adjusts accordingly
• Manages assigned marketing budget within CFI's
• Actively visits customers / channel partners to capture insights and check & adjust programs
• Analyzes regional category performance (NSV, GP, market share), understands the drivers and course corrects as necessary
• Inputs into regional S&OP processes
• Works with cluster marketing & sales to pressure test demand forecasts
• Education & Experience*:
• Essential*:
• Bachelor Degree, in business-related discipline
• 10-12 years of experience in marketing / brand management roles with a demonstrated track record of achievement and growth in leadership behaviours
