Business Analyst

The team:
The Risk Intelligence team in LSEG maintain and develop a suite of products and services focused around management of Risk and Compliance Solutions for our customers.

The Role:
As an agile business analyst (BA) you will be bringing together the vision from internal Product Directors, Product Managers and Product Owners. You'll be working as an integral part of one or more of our globally located scrum teams, creating, refining and running the product backlog.

Expect to handle queries from the scrum team in daily stand ups and refinement sessions, responding promptly and openly to any challenges to ensure the highest quality end product and maintain momentum in development sprints.

We constantly evolve and tweak our approach to improve efficiency and have balanced and open conversation around new feature development and approach whilst playing our part to ensure we make good decisions in product design.

The Teams:
We have multiple scrum teams consisting of mixes of internal staff and supplier consultants and typically including business analysts, user experience professionals, back end server and user interface developers, and quality assurance engineers.

We follow agile principles of continuous improvement. Teams are based in eastern Europe and Asia across varying time zones, more broadly the business stakeholders you will interact with will be globally located.

Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with the Lead / Senior BA and communicate progress and articulate any issues
• Be the main point of contact with Product Owners in order to elicit, analyse, and validate complex business requirements for the software we're building
• Document and translate these business requirements into a detailed user story backlog in JIRA for our UX and development teams with supporting content in confluence whilst adhering to LSEG standards
• Build a quality backlog of user stories, through activities such as backlog refinement
• Collaborate closely with scrum teams to ensure scrum velocity is maintained and blockers removed
• Be accountable for the quality of your work, ensuring it's delivered within agreed procedures and timeframes

Skills & Experience:
Must
• Experience in Scrum / Agile methodology, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria utilising INVEST criteria
• Business Analysis experience
• Ability to capture business requirements and represent them effectively
• Excellent communication skills including ability to influence and negotiate
• Excellent problem solving, analysis, research and process mapping skills
• Excellent written communication skills - both technical and non-technical

Desirable
• Detail oriented and highly organised
• Understands the principles of usability and helps ensure the software is fit for purpose
• Any understanding of the KYC / AML environment would be beneficial
• Understanding of API integrations
