Asia Pacific Learning and Development Operations

*WHAT YOU'LL DO
• :

You lead and drive all things related to operations within the AP Regional L&D team.
You and your team of operations professionals will deliver over 40+ high quality learning programs per year, reaching over 3,500 learners across the AP Regions.
On top of this, you have a passion for people development both for our learners but also for your team.
You will need to tap into your strengths in communication, organisation skills, autonomous thinking, and your ability to get things done in the moment but also be thinking of the future, to succeed in this fast paced, ever-changing environment.
You will guide your team to ensure they have the support, capabilities, and capacity to lead training programs to the highest of quality.
Your role will be part of our L&D team building our capabilities in how we deliver learning and inspire our learners.

Your role includes the following:

Strengthen Operational Processes and Operational Excellence
• Lead the Operational working team
• Build up and enhance our standard processes, policies, consistency in line with our overall vision and purpose
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and internal/ external best practices, lead operational innovations/ initiatives, actively engage the team/ broader stakeholders to make changes happen

Strategic planning and execution
• Work hand in hand with the L&D Director to deliver on the L&D priorities, vision and purpose
• Ensure your understanding of the key business critical goals and continue to guide the team and our processes to support these (e.g.
Action for Climate)
• Drive operational strategy, continuously lead delivery format innovation (together with the content managers) to deliver great learning experience yet still meeting our cost/ carbon constraint
• Lead the budgeting and planning process on an annual basis.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders in our content managers, local offices, in our Global L&D team, with the meeting and events team and within your own team to ensure we plan a calendar that meets the needs of our learners

Team management
• Manage a large, diverse, international operations team who are currently based in the Malaysia, Thailand, and India
• Lead the program operations team by providing clarity on tasks required for each program, checking in with team members on a regular basis to ensure preparations are on track and act as the point of escalation when needed
• Guide, coach, motivate and develop this team to ensure we continue to grow them as individuals as well as ensuring we have the skills and capabilities to meet the needs of the business
• Work within the agreed team norms and continue to foster a psychologically safe environment where everyone can speak up, contribute, and thrive at work

Stakeholder, relationships, and content
• Establish a strong working relationship with the Content Managers; understanding the training content, the implications for operations and any challenges that should be overcome.
Plan together attendance at training programs to ensure fair distribution and support
• Understand all training programs in the regional training remit:
virtual live training, live in person training, hybrid training, self-paced learning etc.
• Have a passion to engage and continue to review innovation and technology options to support future training models
• Analyse and review training programs and feedback to take a view and establish where change needs to come.
This means attending programs from time to time to view how things are running to receiving the feedback reports for each training identifying positive trends as well as areas of development
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders beyond AP L&D (global service center, M&E team, finance function, etc.) to ensure you establish strong working relationships where the sentiment is on supporting each other, learning from each other, identifying synergies and sharing best practices
• Continue to be a thought partner and key source of collaboration for global projects in relation to operations and to ensure the region is represented
