Here, you will design and develop new analytics capabilities for the Spotfire product suite with close attention to robustness, scalability and performance.
You will be part of a team focusing on implementing data analytic algorithms for industry-specific challenges.
In addition to efficiently implementing various statistical and data analytic algorithms, you will also shoulder the responsibility of creating scalable and performant architectures while minimizing technical debt.
You will exemplify best practices relating to design and implementation that other team members will follow.
You will stay abreast of the latest in the data analytics software industry and provide evidence-based recommendations as inputs to product management and engineering strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Skills
Must Have

Excellent programming skills in C#, C++, or a similar language
Comprehensive understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
Experience with Design and Architectural patterns
Proven experience building reliable, scalable, and performant software systems

Strongly Preferred

Development experience with scientific computing software
Experience using Business Intelligence and Data Science platforms
Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models
Experience with Big Data frameworks and Deep Learning frameworks

Nice to have

Good understanding of mathematical/statistical concepts and methodology, including (but not restricted to) Descriptive statistics, Inferential statistics, Probability theory, and Linear algebra
Experience with cloud-native development principles and technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms)

Education

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science (or related fields)

Experience/Skills/Interests/Formal Qualifiers + Masters degree in Mathematics, Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar in kind from a reputable university + More than a decade of experience in commercial software development + Conversational Swedish language proficiency + Interest in Spotfire and its business contexts + Appreciation of Engineering as an intellectual activity + Proclivity for quality over quantity + Gothenburg office presence + Labour permit for Sweden
