Role Purpose
A candidate is required for the position of Senior Accountant.
The candidate shall be responsible for handling and overseeing the financial requirements and management reporting of the group and support the executive management team by offering insights and financial analysis that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Recording TransactionsEnsures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.Accounts ReceivableReporting collections from customers on a weekly basis along with customer aging analysis.
Generating and forwarding SOA to customers on a monthly basis through the sales team for the confirmation of balances and reconciliation to resolve discrepancies.Payables ManagementPrecisely maintaining all payments and their reporting on a weekly basis.
Generating and forwarding SOA to vendors on a monthly basis for the confirmation of balances and reconciliation to resolve discrepancies.TreasuryResponsible for working capital management reporting to higher management for timely decision making.
Monthly bank reconciliation statements to be maintained and reported to management.
Responsible for all collections and payments, maintaining accounting records and posting, matching, clearing and assisting management in day-to-day tasks.Management and Financial ReportingPrepare monthly management reports by following all agreed structures of financial statements and other necessary financial performance reports.
Reconciling statements and reporting to management regarding any discrepancies highlighted.Team ManagementCoaching and appraising performance of the team.
Providing guidelines to team members for entering accurate records into the company's ERP.
Addressing complaints and resolving problems.TaxationPreparing and reviewing tax returns as per the local laws of Saudi Arabia.
Monitor tax liabilities and ensure timely payment.
Responding to queries from different government bodies as needed.GeneralAssisting management in planning, assigning, and directing work to the staff.
Assisting in audits conducted by external and internal auditors, resolving their queries and facilitating management in this regard.
Responsible for preparation and record keeping of relevant vouchers.
Maintaining proper records of supporting documentation with regard to sales/purchase invoices, debit and credit notes, receipts, and payments.JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge / Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated abilities in Excel.
Having an analytical mind and a keen eye for detail with a desire to probe further into data.
The ability to develop strong working relationships and maintain work ethics.
Expert level experience in multitasking with the ability to set priorities as per the given situation.
Ability to adhere to time constraints.
ERP hands-on experience is a must.
Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
Education / Certifications
Chartered Accountant finalist or similar professional body qualified with articles completed from a renowned firm.
Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting and finance.#
