The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Product Specialist in R&D department, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing technical direction and expertise into the design of medical products manufactured in Wrocław plant (medical tapes and dressings);
• Lead or participate in multi-disciplinary, complex technical teams involving product enhancement, quality improvement and regulatory requirements;
• Assure projects meet technical requirements, customer schedules and project budgets;
• Support local manufacturing and continuous improvement of current products; drives cost optimization projects and other relevant metrics;
• Work independently communicating and interacting with all levels of internal personnel as well as external customers and suppliers.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires the following qualifications:

• Degree, MSc or PhD from an accredited University in Medical/Chemical Science (Biotechnology/Pharmacy/Chemistry or equivalent)
• More than 3 years of experience in R&D or equivalent department within medical/chemical sector
• Practical experience of medical tapes and dressings development that includes knowledge of medical adhesives, coating process and non-woven materials would be of benefit
• Practical experience of injection molding would be of benefit
• Experience with regulatory requirements and medical industry standards would be of benefit
• Working experience in a manufacturing organization
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects to successful completion
• Self starter/self directed that leads with high energy and passion
• Strong leadership and networking skills
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple high priority projects efficiently and work with cross functional teams and across multiple functions and disciplines
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
• Team player with the ability to contribute in a matrix environment
• Fluent in English/job requires 50% of time communication in English

Work location:

• Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Wrocław/Kwidzyńska 6 at least 2 days per week)
