Payroll Subject Matter Expert - fixed term role - 1 year contract
About the role
The main purpose of the role is to provide accurate and timely support for an in-house payroll process for Ireland. You will be a part of an international team, coordinating processes for 35 countries within the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities

Handle end-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and yearly payroll processes for Ireland (potentially other countries within the region).
Deliver timely and accurate payroll results aligned to Haleon global payroll standards and framework.
Update and maintain payroll records (Joiners/Leavers/Changes) and payroll master data.
Import/export payroll interface files.
Process all variable wage components like hours, bonuses, provision, capture of holidays, etc.
Process payroll-related allowances and deductions, delivering yearly bonus and merit cycle.
Process payroll monthly and yearly reporting (with Tax Office, Pension Fund), provide input for Finance teams.
Deal with financial controls, including SOX and operational controls maintained at a local country level, internal and external audits.
Deliver on-time excellent service to Employees and stakeholders.
Be a point of escalation for pay-related employee queries.
Implement continuous improvements within the functional area of payroll process.

Why you?
Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated payroll processing experience.
Bachelor's or master's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Very good command of English is mandatory; knowledge of any other EMEA region language would be an asset.
Knowledge of payroll legislation and processes, understanding of international assignees' payroll is required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail, numerical ability, and strong data entry skills.
Ability to work autonomously and respect deadlines.
Focus on continuous improvement in payroll and HR administration processes.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Knowledge and experience in the Irish Payroll area is desirable.
Experience on payroll changes projects.
Customer service- and team-oriented approach and good organizational skills.
Knowledge of Workday or any payroll system.
