Role: Back-end Developer - EU Agency located in Warsaw
Location: POLAND
Responsibilities:

Leading the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and high-performance microservices using Domain Driven Design (DDD), ensuring they meet both business and technical requirements.
Collaborating closely with architects, business analysts, and both frontend and backend teams to ensure that the architecture and services are consistent and aligned with business goals.
Designing high-quality, secure APIs (REST/WebSocket-based) to connect services and enable external integrations, ensuring proper API design and documentation.
Implementing token-based authentication (e.g., JWT, OAuth2) and ensuring compliance with security standards to protect backend services and user data.
Designing solutions optimized for cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), ensuring cost-effective, scalable, and reliable cloud-based architectures.
Contributing to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation for backend services, APIs, and deployment processes, ensuring that team members and stakeholders have easy access to up-to-date information.
Analysing business requirements in close cooperation with architects and business analysts, translating them into effective technical solutions.
Preparing or supporting the preparation of HLA, HLD and development of LLD Documentation, or equivalent Agile documentation (e.g. user stories) following client's templates.
Designing and implementing solutions based on microservices architecture.
Decomposition from Monolith Applications to Micro-Services oriented (Backend).
Working with backend and frontend teams to deliver consistent solutions.
Optimizing applications for performance and scalability.
Create technical documentation and conducting code reviews.
Support analysts in business requirements and frontend (UI/UX) analysis.

Requirements:

At least 8 years of post-secondary education and work experience.
Level 4 degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
Great experience designing and building complex microservices for a large organization, as well as a strong understanding of architectural patterns such as orchestration and choreography (SAGA) using the Domain Driven Design approach.
Proven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and loosely coupled microservices, as well as building and deploying high-quality APIs (REST / WebSockets based) to connect services and support external integrations.
Good experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Proven experience programming in C#.
Good experience with Red Hat OpenShift platform and understanding of Git Workflows.
Good experience creating automated, unit, and integration tests and experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for microservices deployment.
Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Jaeger with a Service Mesh communication layer.
Good experience ensuring system security through token-based authentication like JWT, OAuth2, and other measures, and understanding of design patterns like Service Discovery, Circuit Breaker, and API Gateway (preferred KONG).
Good experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and associated tools, as well as understanding of distributed databases and data management strategies in SQL/NoSQL.
Good experience with Kafka-based asynchronous messaging systems and implementing event-driven architecture (EDA) based on Kafka.
Good experience working in a CI/CD environment based on Azure DevOps.
Experience building observability for microservices.
Good understanding of UML notation as well as best practices, processes, and patterns in software development.
Good experience optimizing applications for performance and scalability and experience writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Proven experience creating technical documentation and conducting code reviews.
Experience working in an Agile team with SCRUM methodology.

Languages:

Excellent knowledge of English - Level B2 in Understanding, Speaking, and Writing.
