Trade Compliance Specialist

For our Global Purchasing Department, we are currently looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist.
The role is responsible for managing compliance with regulations, sanctions, and trade restrictions in all regions where the organization operates. This role will work closely with procurement teams, legal, logistics, and external partners to minimize.
Responsibilities:

Execute changes to master data (customer, material & vendor) as approved by business review process including requests to create, change, extend, block/unblock, activate/deactivate, or otherwise modify master data and executes mass maintenance requests as directed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant global trade laws, regulations, and standards governing the import, export, and movement of goods.
Monitor changes in trade regulations, tariffs, and sanctions, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Act as the internal subject matter expert for all trade compliance-related issues.
Oversee the preparation and management of all trade-related documents, including customs declarations, certificates of origin, and other regulatory filings.
Maintain accurate and complete records of all transactions to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Conduct risk assessments related to trade compliance, identifying potential areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions.
Manage internal and external audits related to trade compliance, ensuring that any findings are addressed promptly.
Ensure suppliers and logistics partners adhere to the organization's trade compliance requirements, conducting due diligence and periodic reviews.
Monitor global sanctions and embargo lists, ensuring that the organization does not engage with restricted entities or countries.
Conduct screening of suppliers, customers, and transactions against sanctions lists and embargo programs (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN).
Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure accurate classification of goods and calculation of duties and tariffs.
Develop and deliver training programs to procurement teams and stakeholders on trade compliance regulations and best practices.
Ensure all relevant employees are informed of regulatory changes that may impact procurement and trade operations.
Liaise with legal, procurement, and logistics teams to provide trade compliance guidance during procurement negotiations and contract reviews.
Serve as the primary point of contact with government agencies, customs authorities, and trade compliance consultants.

We are looking for you to have:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economic, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2+ years of related work experience in any ERP, ideally with D365 F&O master data.
Strong data analysis skills required: MS Excel, BI expertise.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation and data.
Clear high-performance orientation, committed to agreed-upon objectives, and takes pride in work; demonstrates energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and creativity in problem-solving.
Work independently as well as being a key team member of the Procurement Governance Team.
