1st Line of Defence Risk Manager - SAMApply locations POL-Gdynia-3T Office Park, Tower C time type Full time posted on Posted 2 Days Ago job requisition id R0097459This role is responsible for supporting the management and reporting of the Sales and Account Management (SAM) Risk profile to Divisional Risk committees and to Group.
The first line of defence SAM Risk manager will support with the implementation of a robust risk and control framework within the business, consistent with LSEG policies and standards.The role reports to the Director, Business Control Officer SAM and requires close liaison with the business, in particular Risk Champions and SAM Leaders to ensure the Enterprise risk management framework is fully embedded.
It requires working with other members of Group such as second line of defence to ensure that risk assessments are completed, and the risk profile is understood to embed a robust risk culture and meet our Enterprise Risk goals.ResponsibilitiesEmbed a strong risk culture within SAM by raising risk awareness, providing training, and encouraging accountability across Risk Champions and all employees globally.Ensure business processes are robust, with defined owners, and detailed operating procedures.Document SAM local controls, ensuring they are appropriately designed, operating optimally and periodically reviewed and assessed in line with Control Enhancement Plan requirements.Responsible for assuring key controls identified as part of the Control Enhancement Plan.Partner with risk champions and the BCO to complete the annual Risk and Control Assessment which drives risk-based decisions.
This includes maintaining an accurate risk profile to identify all Outside Risk Tolerance and Near Risk Tolerance risks which require remediation are escalated and tracked within relevant governance forums.Work with the business and BCO to design limit frameworks and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for controlling risk exposures, with thresholds set in accordance with Group Risk Appetite and procedures established for managing breaches.Create the materials for the SAM Executive Risk Committee, which is held to escalate issues and report incidents and breaches.Maintain the Risk and Control Assessment, including ensuring effective remediation actions are identified to address control vulnerabilities and reflected accurately in the GRC tool.Document and investigate incident reviews on material incidents, including documentation of root cause and remediations to mitigate risk going forwards.Co-ordinate with internal audit teams to support planned audits and review findings to plan remediation for existing audit findings.Ensure Group Risk Policies and Standards are adhered to within the Division, including coordinating attestations, training completion rates, policy change oversight and waiver management.Coordinate with Centralised 1st line of defence team to document the risk reporting and Management Information to support divisional leadership and Group and Divisional risk committees to perform their risk-duties.Candidate Profile/ Key SkillsExcellent communication skills required, both verbal and written.Ability to build and foster strong relationships at all levels and excellent stakeholder management.Self-starter with a desire to deep dive and leverage data.Strong analytical and ability to influence without authority across teams.Strong leadership skills with a positive track record of developing talent.Experience of having worked in the financial services sector and have some experience in risk/compliance/audit.Puts project management methodologies in place e.g.
schedules of work, progress reports.Experience in Risk Management, Framework or related areas in Financial Services - preferably in Wealth or Asset Management.Previous experience of Risk Management requirements and controls to ensure compliance with external laws, internal policies, standards, regulations, and industry expectations.Previous stakeholder management and leadership experience.Experience working with cross-functional teams such as tech and non-tech environment.WORKSTYLE MODELWe know balance is the key, therefore we propose a hybrid way of working.
